Off-the-shelf packaging plasmids –

Lentivirus vector plasmids

Lentivirus vector plasmids

Third-generation Lentivirus (LV) manufacturing is achieved via quadruple transfection of a VSVG, Gagpol, Rev, and a transgene.

Lentivirus Vector Plasmids - Packaging Plasmids are VSVG, Gag/Pol, Rev - Expression Plasmids are Transgene

Why are packaging plasmids crucial?

Production of Viral Particles: Packaging plasmids enable the host cells (often HEK293T cells) to produce the structural and enzymatic components necessary to assemble viral particles that can encapsulate and deliver the engineered genetic material.

Regulation of Viral Assembly: Packaging plasmids allow for the control of viral titer and transfection efficiency by adjusting the ratio and strength of the plasmids used in production.
